The Edge of Winter

As they say, “time flies when you’re having fun!” I haven’t been in the shop since replenishing my lumber stores. With doctor’s appointments, my bride’s company Christmas party, and cold rainy weather, I haven’t been able to find the time.

The dust eventually settled, and I carved out just a couple of hours to play. I spent this precious time on the rear post of my upcoming three-legged joined chair.

Since we are at the edge of winter, shop time may prove to be a rare commodity. I will have to find the time where I can. Perhaps I should work on some full-scale drawings of my chair from the comfort of a warm study. More as it happens, stay tuned!

I’ve never understood this idea that winter sees more time in the shed. I suspect woodworkers who enjoy that may be luckier than most! It’s been down to -2C or so the last week here and I suspect I have rust patrol in my future as a result.
